The Museum of Telephone History is a large collection of vintage telephones. The main objective of the Museum is to preserve the priceless heritage of the world in the field of telecommunication, transfer knowledge to younger generations about how the means of communication evolved over the centuries and how they affected the further development of mankind, how wooden household interior phones turned into miniature computers.
The museum exhibits over 1000 items of the XIX-XX centuries. The phones of most of the world producers of 1876-1970 are also presented in the museum. Also, a collection of rare handsets of Russian companies is exibited. The exposition is constantly updated, there are interesting new devices, such as mobile phone produced by the company Ericsson in 1895, which became the hallmark of the company under the name "Spider", the original model «Siemens» of 1887, acoustic telephone Willard Henderson made in 1881 in the United States and many others.
You can visit the exhibition at the weekends from 11 a.m. till 5 p.m. by appointment.
